BrightonSEO 2025, much more than just an event for marketers

In a couple of weeks, seven of us from Versantus will be heading to BrightonSEO, the UK’s biggest gathering of search, marketing and digital minds.

It’s a first for some of our team and a return for me after a few years away. The world of SEO and digital marketing has moved fast since then, and there’s no better place to see what’s next. From AI search and schema data to automation, attribution and real world measurement, it’s an event that brings all of it together in one place.

Joining me are Nik, Rose, David, Andy, Sophie and Ant. Between us, we’re taking a real cross section of the Versantus team, with development, marketing, delivery and leadership all in one place. It’s a team that already collaborates closely day to day, but this gives us the chance to step back from projects, learn together, and look at what’s coming next across the whole industry.

That mix is what makes this kind of event so valuable. We’ll be looking at SEO and analytics not just as marketing tools, but as parts of a bigger ecosystem that connects data, development, design and customer experience. Everyone will be coming at it from a slightly different angle, which is exactly what makes it interesting.

Talks that stand out for me

There’s a strong line up this year, and a lot of sessions touch on areas that are already part of our work and conversations.

The Communicating Data and Automation tracks look especially good. Your measurement is a mess and GA is the problem and GA4 beyond the reports both sound like honest, practical talks about getting better insight from analytics. Applying ML models on GSC data to fuel SEO decisions also caught my eye, as we’ve been exploring similar ideas, so it will be interesting to see how others are approaching it.

The Future of Search sessions like The age of conversation and The number one spot is gone: here’s how to win anyway look great too. I’m curious to hear more about how conversational search and zero click experiences are changing user behaviour.

And finally, the Zero Click SEO and Search Intent sessions will be essential viewing. Both dig into how visibility and relevance are shifting in a search landscape where clicks tell less of the story.

Getting stuck in early

Before the conference starts, a few of us will be taking part in the BrightonSEO Beach Clean and the 5k run. Something really positive before the sessions begin, that's nice touch by the organisers. If you’re heading down early, come and join in: Join the Beach Clean

Why it matters

Events like this are about ideas, perspective and time together as a team. We’ve got developers, marketers, strategists and sales leads all going, each with a slightly different focus but a shared goal to learn, challenge what we know and bring back something useful to share.

For Versantus, it’s a chance to keep learning and stay curious. For Versantus AI, it’s an opportunity to see how AI and search are coming together in real terms and what that means for how we design, build and optimise websites. The ideas and insight we bring back will feed straight into the work we do and the conversations we have.

Back in the office, we’ll be sharing what we’ve learned through lunch sessions and team discussions, turning the best ideas into action for our clients and projects.

We’ll also be sharing updates, thoughts and takeaways throughout the event on our social channels, and we’ll follow up with a round up of what stood out, what surprised us and what it means for our customers and community.

If you’re heading to BrightonSEO too, come and say hello. It would be great to catch up in person.
Best start packing the notebooks and running shoes!

See you in Brighton.
